MINUTES - REGULAR BOARD MEETING - July 17, 2017


The regular meeting of the Reedsville Board of education was called to order at 6:29 PM by Board President Andrew Maertz.  Present:  Board members - Andrew Maertz, Todd Schneider, Vicki Petska and Carie Boldt.  Administrative team members - Tony Butturini, Michael Nate, Joe Cook and Ryan McCulley.  Others - Becky O’Leary and Myron Genrich.   


Mr. Andrew Maertz announced that proper legal notice of the meeting had been given.

   1. Motion to accept payment of bills made by Carie Boldt, seconded by Vicki Petska. All ayes.  Motion carried.
   2. Motion to approve minutes from the June 19 regular meeting and closed session made by Carie Boldt and seconded by Vicki Petska.  All ayes.  Motion carried.
   3. Motion to approve Victoria Fenlon for food service made by Vicki Petska and seconded by Carie Boldt.  All ayes.  Motion carried.
   4. Motion to approve Kelsey DuBois as the Middle School ELA teacher made by Carie Boldt and seconded by Todd Schneider.  All ayes.  Motion carried.
   5. Motion to approve Carissa Gerhardt’s resignation made by Carie Boldt and seconded by Todd Schneider.  All ayes.  Motion carried.
   6. Contract approval of extra/co-curricular contracts by administrator & superintendent tabled until August.
   7. Motion to accept the 2017-2018 bus contract with Reedsville Buses made by Carie Boldt, seconded by Vicki Petska.  All ayes.  Motion carried.
   8. Motion to accept the addition of a technology fee made by Vicki Petska, seconded by Todd Schneider.  All ayes.  Motion carried.  
   9. Motion to accept a Technology Maintenance activity account made by Todd Schneider, seconded by Vicki Petska.  All ayes.  Motion carried.
   10. Motion to approve a middle school cross country coach made by Carie Boldt, seconded by Vicki Petska.  All ayes.  Motion carried.
   11. Motion to accept the unpaid student meal administrative rule made by Vicki Petska, seconded by Carie Boldt.  All ayes.  Motion carried.
   12. Motion to accept the Panther Sports Complex plan made by Vicki Petska, seconded by Todd Schneider.  All ayes.  Motion carried.
   13. Motion to accept the reconstruction of the high jump area made by Vicki Petska, seconded by Carie Boldt.  All ayes.  Motion carried.
   14. Motion to accept Brothers Dairy made by Vicki Petska, seconded by Carie Boldt.  All ayes.  Motion carried.
   15. Motion to accept the increased adult meal prices made by Vicki Petska, seconded by Carie Boldt.  All ayes.  Motion carried.

1. Adjourn into Closed Session at 7:43 PM.  According to SS 19.85 (1) (c) Considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility.  (litigation and compensation). The Reedsville Board of Education reserves the right to return to open session.  Motion made by Carie Boldt, seconded by Todd Schneider.  All ayes.  Motion carried.
2. Return to Open Session at 7:56 PM - motion made by Todd Schnedier,  seconded by Carie Boldt .  All ayes.  Motion carried.
