MINUTES - REGULAR BOARD MEETING - August 20, 2018


The regular meeting of the Reedsville Board of education was called to order at 6:32 PM by Board President Andrew Maertz.  Present:  Board members - Andrew Maertz, Vicki Petska, Todd Schneider, Rick Hein, and Carie Boldt.  Administrative team members - Tony Butturini, Michael Nate, Joe Cook, and Ryan McCulley.  Others:  Faith Lubner, Sara Lubner, Warren Wedepohl, Stephanie Maertz, Joe Delsman, John Ebert, Meghan Liebzeit and Becky O’Leary.         


Mr. Andrew Maertz called the meeting to order at 6:32 and announced that proper legal notice of the meeting had been given.

   2. Motion to approve agenda made by Carie Boldt, seconded by Vicki Petska.  All ayes.  Motion carried.

   1. Employment announcements - Tricia Hynek and Elizabeth Dombeck as special ed aides, Joni Larson-JV1 volleyball coach, Tammy Bloemer-JV2 volleyball coach, Sue Parker-Nechodomu-middle school volleyball coach, Jennifer Gamble-food service, and Carrie Heran-library aide.

1. Discussion/Action Items
   1. Motion to accept payment of bills made by Rick Hein, seconded by Todd Schneider.  Andrew Maertz abstained.  Motion carried 4-0.
   2. Motion to approve minutes from the July 16 regular meeting made by Todd Schneider and seconded by Vicki Petska.  Rick Hein abstained.  Motion carried 4-0.
   3. Motion to accept the second reading of the service animal policy made by Vicki Petska and seconded by Rick Hein.  All ayes.  Motion carried.
   4. Motion to accept co-curricular code made by Carie Boldt and seconded by Todd Schneider.  All ayes.  Motion carried.
   5. Motion to accept the phone system upgrade made by Carie Boldt and seconded by Todd Schneider.  All ayes.  Motion carried.
   6. Motion to have the school district to put $48500 towards the general maintenance of track facilities made by Rick Hein and seconded by Vicki Petska.  All ayes.  Motion carried.
   7. Motion to accept the updated recognition banquet procedures made by Rick Hein and seconded by Todd Schneider.  All ayes.  Motion carried.
   8. Motion to accept Susan Parker as the part time art teacher made by Carie Boldt and seconded by Rick Hein.  All ayes.  Motion carried. 
   9. Motion to accept the updated unusually hazardous transportation plan made by Carie Boldt and seconded by Todd Schneider.  All ayes.  Motion carried.
