MINUTES - REGULAR BOARD MEETING - January 21, 2019


The regular meeting of the Reedsville Board of education was called to order at 6:30 PM by Board President Andrew Maertz.  Present:  Board members - Andrew Maertz, Vicki Petska, Rick Hein, Todd Schneider and Carie Boldt.  Administrative team members - Tony Butturini, Michael Nate, Joe Cook, and Ryan McCulley.  Others:  Amy Hein,Bob Ebert, Matthew Strenn, and Becky O’Leary.         


Mr. Andrew Maertz called the meeting to order at 6:30 and announced that proper legal notice of the meeting had been given.

   2. Motion to approve agenda made by Todd Schneider, seconded by Vicki Petska.  Motion carried.

   3. Finance committee will meet on January 30.
   4. Fitness center access - Discussion about public access to fitness center.  Will bring some ideas for next meeting

   1. Motion to accept payment of bills made by Rick Hein, seconded by Vicki Petska. All ayes.  Motion carried. 
   2. Motion to approve minutes from the December 17 regular session meeting and closed session meeting made by Todd Schneider and seconded by Rick Hein.  All ayes.  Motion carried.
   3. Motion to approve policies (second reading) 0151.2, 0152, 2260.02, 2271, 2411, 3160, 3217, 4160, 4217, 5113.01, 5330, 5772, and 6320 made by Rick Hein and seconded by Carie Boldt.  All ayes.  Motion carried.
   4. Motion to approve Superintendent contract for 2019-2020 made by Vicki Petska and seconded by Rick Hein.  All ayes.  Motion carried.
   5. Motion to approve CMS 4 Schools to upgrade district webpage for ADA compliance made by Todd Schneider and seconded by Vicki Petska.  All ayes.  Motion carried.
   6. Motion to approve special education open enrollment space determination as full with a waitlist made by Rick Hein and seconded by Todd Schneider.  All ayes.  Motion carried.
   7. Motion to approve regular education open enrollment space determination as open made by Vicki Petska and seconded by Todd Schneider.  All ayes.  Motion carried.  
   8. Motion to approve Victoria Rojas as a special education interventionist long term sub made by Vicki Petska and seconded by Rick Hein.  All ayes.  Motion carried.  
   9. Motion to approve JSM Secure for the elementary camera system installation using the balance of the security grant and Fund 10 not to exceed $47,000 made by Todd Schneider and seconded by Rick Hein.  All ayes.  Motion carried.
