MINUTES - REGULAR BOARD MEETING - May 15, 2019


The regular meeting of the Reedsville Board of education was called to order at 6:30 PM by Board President Andrew Maertz. Present: Board members - Andrew Maertz, Vicki Petska, Rick Hein, Todd Schneider and Carie Boldt. Administrative team members - Tony Butturini, Michael Nate, Joe Cook, and Ryan McCulley. 1. Kim Luedtke representing the REA thanked the school board and Mr. Butturini for their support this year.
1. Youth Apprenticeship presentations - students presented with their mentors. The following companies were involved in the program: Econo Foods, Denmark State Bank, Lorrigan Construction, BayCare Clinic at Northshore, ICE Implement, Braun Electric, Lensmier Dairy, Wayside Dairy, ACE Builders, Bartow Builders, Hyland Hi Dairy.
2. Discussion items
   1. Employment announcement(s) -  Amy Hein - District Bookkeeper, Resignation - Kathy Krummel
   2. Facilities committee update - they had not had a meeting this month so there was no update
   3. Finance committee update - they had not had a meeting this month so there was no update

   1. Motion to approve payment of bills by Rick Hein, seconded by Todd Schneider. All ayes. Motion carried.
   2. Motion to approve minutes from the April 22, 2019 open and closed sessions by Vicki Petska, seconded by Carie Boldt. All ayes. Motion carried.
   3. Motion to approve 2019-2020 school board meeting calendar by Carie Boldt, seconded by Vicki Petska. All ayes. Motion carried.
   4. Motion to approve moving June 17 board meeting to 4:30 PM by Rick Hein, seconded by Carie Boldt. All ayes. Motion carried.
   5. Motion to approve Web Accessibility Procedure with amendments by Todd Schneider, seconded by Carie Boldt. All ayes. Motion carried.
   6. Motion to approve 2019-2020 Hot Lunch Prices, Fees and Sub Pay by Vicki Petska, seconded by Carie Boldt. All ayes. Motion carried.
   7. Motion to approve WIAA Membership by Todd Schneider, seconded by Carie Boldt. All ayes. Motion carried.
   8. Motion to approve Hurckman’s bid for replacement of Hot Water Heater at High School in the amount of $8,850 by Carie Boldt, seconded by Todd Schneider. All ayes. Motion carried.
   9. Motion to approve middle school track activity account by Vicki Petska, seconded by Carie Boldt. All ayes. Motion carried.
   10. Motion to approve Open Enrollment In & Out by Carie Boldt, seconded by Rick Hein. All ayes. Motion carried.
   11. Motion to approve Special Education Open Enrollment Decisions; approval of Open Enrollment applications due to not exceeding the January cap by Vicki Petska, seconded by Carie Boldt. All ayes. Motion carried.
   12. Motion to approve employment recommendation of Gretchen Price, 5th grade teacher by Rick Hein, seconded by Todd Schneider. All ayes. Motion carried.
   13. Motion to approve E-rate Infrastructure purchases by Vicki Petska, seconded by Carie Boldt. All ayes. Motion carried.

  X. Adjourn into closed session at 7:45 PM. According to SS 19.85 (1) (c) Considering   employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility (Compensation/Staffing). The Reedsville Board of Education reserves the right to return to open session. Motion made by Todd Schneider, seconded by Rick Hein. Roll call vote all ayes. Motion carried.
